The Back Story
The past 3 years I have been sick from Halloween-Christmas every year. It’s been so awful not being able to taste Thanksgiving meals and this year I decided no more! I began using essential oils back in Feb. and since then have really developed a love for them and have been integrating them into our lifestyle wherever I can. I know at this point many people have either heard of them, or been asked to come to a party and I can see why. For a lot of people they are hugely
It’s that time of year again!! This is the official announcement for 2015’s Holiday Mini Sessions. Here are the details:

If you’re like me or most moms, you’re often the one behind the camera taking pictures. You have a ton of great photos of your kids and spouse and even pets, but none of you! Let’s change that, shall we?
Throw all of those reasons why you don’t want to be photographed out the window, get yourself an amazing new outfit and join me for a super fun Mommy and Me session. Just in time for Mother’s Day.
These smaller sessions are designed to capture the candid and
It’s the most wonderful time of year again folks and that means party season is upon us! I love making specialty cocktails for gatherings, events and parties this time of year and I’ve put together a list – along with recipes – for some of my favorite holiday cocktails. These have been through rigorous testing at the hands of my friends and family. I also added a couple of wine reccommendations at the end in case you need a fancy host/hostess gift. Enjoy!
As a photographer here in Raleigh, the 2 most common questions I get asked are: “What kind of camera should I buy?” and “What lens should I get next for my dslr?”
Typically the kit lens that comes with your new dslr is an everyday mid wide zoom. It’s versatile for travel and basic photography, but the one thing that it’s lacking is a low aperture. What does that mean you ask? Well all those lovely photos where your subject is in focus, but the background is blurry, seen here:
For this month only I’m offering a big sale on wall canvases. I’m very excited because I think everyone should have at least 1 large wall canvas in his/her home and this is your opportunity to do it! I’m offering 40% off all Gallery Wrapped Canvas this month. That’s an amazing deal! The pricing will be as follows:
$132* – 11×14
$180* – 16×20/16×24
$224* – 20×24
$255* – 20×30
$288* – 24×30
I have been photographing this little angel since she was a newborn. She’s totally adorable and always so cooperative for our sessions. For her 1 year session we did pictures at the NCMA. I love the art museum because there are so many options for pics and I’m a big fan of a large open field.

I had a newborn session last week (images to come of course) and my client told me about this amazing website called Meal Train. Have you heard of it? It’s an organizational site for meal delivery. Anyone who has had surgery or a baby knows how wonderful it is when friends and family drop off meals to help you through a crazy time. Well this site takes all those extended folks and helps them organize a time table of when to drop off food. You can also add your likes/dislikes,
Wow, this year has flown by! I can’t believe I’m already booking fall/holiday portraits already. As most of you know I run this special once a year with limited time slots. I’m once again offering a full and a mini session option. The details and locations are outlined below. Remember these are first come first serve and there will be a $25 retainer fee due at the time of booking.
